ChatGPT Visibility Tracker
The ChatGPT Visibility Tracker shows how often ChatGPT names your brand when people ask it for recommendations, the rank it gives you, the sentiment of what it says and the web sources it retrieves or cites. Each prompt is run daily; available on every SALTEN plan, with pricing shared in the WhatsApp chat.

What ChatGPT is and how it answers
ChatGPT is OpenAI's conversational assistant. For product and vendor questions it increasingly uses web search, and its answers often name a shortlist of brands with reasons, pros and cons, and links to sources. Those answers change from day to day and differ by country and phrasing.
Why track ChatGPT visibility
ChatGPT is the most used AI assistant, so its recommendations shape shortlists before buyers ever open a search engine. Tracking it daily tells you whether you are in the shortlist, how you are described, which competitors displace you and which third-party pages are driving the answer — the pages you need to be on.

Metrics SALTEN reports for ChatGPT
| Metric | Definition |
|---|---|
| Visibility | Share of AI answers (chats) in which the brand appears at least once, 0–100%. Computed per day, model, country and topic. |
| Position | Average rank of the brand among all brands named in an answer (1 = named first). Lower is better. |
| Sentiment | Average tone of the phrases about the brand on a 0–100 scale (50 = neutral), scored per answer by an extraction model. |
| Share of Voice | The brand's mentions divided by all brand mentions in the selected slice, in percent. |
| Sources | URLs and domains the AI used (retrieved) or cited (linked) while answering, with usage and citation counts and page/domain classification. |
How the tracker works
- You add prompts — conversational questions your customers ask ChatGPT — and the brands to track.
- Every 24 hours SALTEN asks ChatGPT each prompt from a resident IP in the project country and stores the full answer, its features (web search, shopping, comparison) and fan-out queries.
- An extraction pipeline detects brand mentions (aliases and transliteration-aware), rank, sentiment phrases and every URL the engine used or cited.
- Results are aggregated daily per model, country and topic into Visibility, Position, Sentiment, Share of Voice and source tables you can filter, export or query via API/MCP.
ChatGPT tracking questions
Does SALTEN use the ChatGPT interface or the API?
For ChatGPT, SALTEN scrapes the web interface, so you see the same answer — including web search results, shopping cards and citations — that a real user gets. Enterprise plans can additionally track the OpenAI Search API as a separate channel.
Can I track ChatGPT answers in a specific country?
Yes. Each project has a primary country and prompts run from a resident IP of that country. Pro and Advanced plans allow up to 3 countries per project.
How many prompts can I track in ChatGPT?
Prompt limits are per plan and shared across models: 50 on Starter, 150 on Pro, 350 on Advanced, custom on Enterprise.
